All driver applicants must meet the following criteria before being hired, leased to, or driving for an independent contractor. These are minimum standards any deviation from the following standard must have the reason documented.
1.) 2 years verifiable experience driving tractor-trailer combinations.
Drivers with less than 2 years but at least 1 year 100,000 miles will be given consideration for employment if they have no accidents, no moving violations (during there first year of driving a CMV), are currently driving for a motor carrier and have experience driving in all weather conditions.
2.) Meets all qualifications of FMCSR Part 391 - Driver Qualifications.
3.) Has current CDL with proper endorsements in their state of residence.
4.) Must not have any serious traffic violations convictions in the last 3 years. Such violations

would include:

Reckless / careless driving.

Driving while intoxicated. (5 years)

Hit and run, leaving the scene or failure to report an accident.

Excessive speed, 15 MPH or more over the limit.

Improper or erratic lane change.

Following too closely.
5.) No convictions of criminal offenses involving a commercial motor vehicle, including driving a CMV

under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
6.) No convictions for drug related offenses.
7.) No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, no more that 2 in the last 12 months.

(Excluding parking and seatbelt violations)
8.) No more than 2 preventable motor vehicle accidents in the last five years.
9.) Pass DOT physical and drug screen.
